Awesome soundtrack
Why hasn't the music to this great movie ever been released? It's the quintessential 80s B movie score.
I love the simple electric guitar motif which sounds like a snarling alligator and is used to identify the creature throughout the movie.
The electric piano music during the end credits is beautiful as well, very much in the style of Dirty Harry.
It seems the composer, Craig Hundley was quite an outstanding talent. As well as a prolific film composer, he was also a noted child actor, jazz band leader and classical pianist, he even released a recording of Rhapsody in Blue.
And he did the music for Alligator. Respect.
