Scene i remember

I am sure i remember a scene shortly after Ramone bursts out of the pavement and begins walking towards the cop.

I was fairly certain that a 20something male grabs a kitchen knife and goes out to fight the alligator, only to get stupidly eaten within moments. However, watching it recently, it appears a young kid grabs the knife, and runs out, but does not get eaten, and it is the unarmed cop that gets chewed.

Have i just imagined my scene and if so, can someone please sign the commitment papers! ;)

You most likely imagined that alternate sequence. It's alright though, it happens all the time to lots of people (myself included), so you aren't alone.
