Question about the end *SPOILERS*

Is the baby Alligator at the end of this film supposed to be the same Alligator that wreaks havoc in Alligator II? Do they make that connection in part 2 at all?

reply

Yes, they do. Ever wondered why the same actor appeared in 2?...I'm talking the scientist in part 2 who appeared in one.

reply

I wouldn't know. I watched most of 2 when it was on TV and never saw the beginning.

However, I do think you are quite wrong because there are no returning characters from the first one. I looked at the credits, the only scientist character is Dee Wallace Stone, and her character has a different name as the scientist character from the fist. It's not the same person.

reply

You have NO idea what you are talking about. I'm not talking about the female herpertologist. I'm talking about Buckley Norris. Imbd him and you'll see he's both in 1 and 2. Check your facts buddy and that's why you wouldn't know. He's IN the first 20 minutes of the movie.

reply

Well, first of all, my friend, my question was "Is the baby Alligator at the end of the first one the same giant Alligator in part 2?" and then it was "Does Alligator II somehow make that connection that its the same Gator?"

The way you answered the question was basically just saying yes that the movies were connected just because an actor from the first appears in the second. That does not answer the question at all. I did some more looking after your recent post and did in fact see it was the same actor in both movies. However, in the first one he is credited as "Bob" and in the second he is "Doc", so, how am I supposed to know if its the same character. I know of a few movies that have had the same actor playing different characters in one movie series. But, either way, it doesn't really matter that much to me if I'm wrong about who that guys character is in part 2, that's not my question.

You sir, still have yet to answer my question. Please, do so.

reply

You still have yet to provide with the the facts, my friend. I'm not satisfied yet. Hurry it up.

reply

Excuse me, my friend. You have still not answered. I'll be checking up on you every once in a while, and I want you to answer my question. Keep the answer on topic. What I specifically wanted to know was if the Alligator at the end of the first film was the same one from the second, and if the film linked that together in anyway. You said one of the guys from the first is in the second, yes, the same actor is but they both have different character names. So I can't go by that.

reply

Well--I wrote the original story and there was no sequel planned--at least, not by me. Perhaps the filmmakers had other ideas. Especially since I heard that the original made alot of money for a movie of modest means. Unfortunately--the filmmakers didn't share any of the profits with me.

Yes, it was. I can't remember what was exactly said because I haven't seen Alligator 2 in 5 years. I should buy it just to have it but I like the first one alot more. In the scene where "Doc" is seen, he mentions something about the sewers being connected. And I believe later in the movie Dee Wallace says something about it. Again, I haven't seen it in years.

reply

Oh, and the fact that the Alligator goes into the same lake as the Alligator in the original, I'd pretty much same it's the same city. They just don't mention it.

reply

yeah, the presumption is its the same........

"I hate PG-13 horror flicks"- THIS IS MY SIG GENIUSES!

reply

i'm wondering the same thing as well

reply

All I can say is I'm pretty sure there taking place in different cities.

reply

I'm watching the second film right now. I'm about halwafy through, I can tell you in the first scene (in the swer) the alligator is already full grown. There's mild references about previous cases of alligators in the sewers and belived that this alligator also fed upon growth hormones but it's never stated whether this one was in the first film or how it got to the sewer.
