shareIf I had the equipment to make you a copy, I would.
But.... this was the version I grew up with. For the longest time I had no idea why it was rated R, because it had virtually all of the gore cut out, minus the guy in the boat's legs being bitten off.
But yeah, there are a few extra scenes.
Thanks for replying, i'm just really interested to see these extra scenes.
shareIt's an old TV cut (I'm assuming the one that played on ABC in the 80's)
There's scenes of people interviewing townspeople about the alligator right before the news scene (as a montage)
There's a scene where a mother's talking on the phone, her baby's outside... then w hear this crash outside, and find the fence destroyed, and don't see the baby anywhere.... but it pops up under a pile of clothes, alive.
There's a scene in the opening credits on the way back from the gator wrestling match, where Marissa's mother tells the father about "how she has to tinkle."
That's about all the extra stuff I can remember off the top of my head, it edits out all the profanity, and most of the gore (when the cop's leg is bitten off, it cuts away before showing it, the blood in the pool scene is gone, some shots of the gator munching people at the wedding are missing, including the "Arthur" character who apparently survives the TV cut, ha ha).
I do have a DVD-R of that print though, I just haven't watched it in a long time. The weird thing is, there's a shot of the gator eating a woman at the wedding that you see in a still on the back of the box (and you see the scene in the theatrical version) but it's completely missing from that version.
The f@&$ing catalina wine mixer.
