Music from the original 'Twilight Zone' TV show in 'Alligator?'

I could have sworn that the music you hear in the backround when the Dad flushes Ramone down the toilet at the beginning of the movie was originally used on the old "Twilight Zone" TV show from the late 1950's/early 1960's.

Can anybody confirm or deny this?

Thanks!

Cheers!

Sincerely,

Steve B.

Yeah, it was I believe. THe same music also got used in Kingdom of the Spiders as well, and I believe the old U.S. cut of Anthropophagus (The Grim Reaper). There's a couple instances of stock music.

The 'boan-buh' Alligator theme is original though, I believe. It's sorta sad, cause the original music in this movie is actually quite good.I gotta admit though, it was a little sad finding out that some of the music was stock music, because I really liked those pieces and I always associated them with this movie.

I thought that some of the music sounded familiar.

Just in case you're interest, the music came from the episodes "To Serve Man" and "The Invaders."

@ 8:01, you can hear the same music that was recycled for the opening credits in ALLIGATOR.

I recognized it from 'Dumb and Dumber' (when Jim Carrey realizes the bathroom stall isn't going to remain vacant.)

The TZ music that was used here was originally composed by Jerry Goldsmith for the episode "The Invaders" with Agnes Moorehead & the spacemen.
