It may be different in your town, but every DVD I've ever gotten from my local library has been scratched beyond repair. I guess people think that because they don't have to pay any money for them they can treat them however they want. I'd be pretty angry if I found a great film like this, checked it out, then discovered I couldn't even watch it because it kept skipping from all the scratches.
