'Shoot straight, ya bastards!!!' - RIP Edward Woodward

Dead today at age 79. Loved the man, this movie, and the Equalizer... :-(

Though Woodward portrayed Morant well in the sense that he showed Morant's character (at least the way the director wanted it portrayed); he did not physically resemble the historical Morant. There was another actor in the film (I believed he portrayed the intelligence officer) who had a much stronger resemblence to the Breaker. Interesting portrayal by Woodward-goes against type.

Just read it myself. Great actor and a great gentleman. You will be missed.

We applied Rule .303. We caught them and we shot them under Rule .303!

Absolutely--one of the greats who was never appreciated and will always be remembered here in Australia for his great performance as 'The Breaker'

Sad to realize that both Edward Woodward and Bud Tingwell both passed away this year, within months of each other, and both so good in this movie.

One of my all time favorite lines. Mr. Woodward was an awesome actor. Just watched Break again today. Still holds up.
