There will never be agreement on this point. My (extensive) research simply shows that the accused (certainly Morant and Handcock) did commit the crimes for which they were convicted... unfortunately in their haste to convict them the Courts Matrial erred on a number of fronts.

Were Morant and Handcock guilty as hell? Yes
Were the correct procedures followed in convicting them? No
Under the rules of military law should they have been exonerated? Possibly
Under the spirit of military law should they have been executed? Most definitely
