It is an odd bit of casting, though, given that Polly plays no real part in the screenplay. The actor playing him doesn't even look like a dashing military sort, he looks like a stumpy, gruff Russian peasant type. Strange that they didn't cast someone a little more striking for the role, seeing as he only has a couple of minutes of screen time. Looks like they just nabbed whoever off the street; strange, in that the rest of the casting is so beautifully thought out.
