Vocal version of song recorded in 1980?

Does anyone know if a vocal version of "Shake Me Loose" was recorded by Stephanie Mills in 1980, the year Bosom Buddies premiered? At least one version sounds like it was recorded in the early '80s. To understand what I mean, check out the following link:

It is worth noting that in 1980, Ms. Mills had a Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 known as "Never Knew Love Like This Before."

I believe so. In fact, I believe that "Shake Me Loose" was originally intended as the opening theme (which is why it was always used as the closing theme, even in original airings). When the syndicator decided not to spring for renewing the rights to "My Life" for rerun airings in the 1990s, it was easy enough to slip the original theme back in.
