How cut is my copy of Zombie Flesheaters?

I've just recently picked up a VHS copy of Zombie Flesheaters but the famous eye popping scene is cut. The scene shows the woman being dragged by the hair toward the shard of wood but then cuts to a scene of here eye gouged out... There is no actual penetration at all! It's generally still pretty gory but I'd like to know what else I am missing out on. Any help?

Was it the old 1992 UK Vipco re-release by any chance? if so then it's the original UK theatrical version with 14 cuts missing a total of 1 minute 41 seconds of footage. If your video is missing the 26 second long pre-credit sequence of the dr shooting the zombie with a sheet over its head then it's the theatrical cut. Also I dont think that this pre-credit omission is part of the censor cuts, it was probably a goof by the distributor.

The usually reliable BBFC website is of no use in this case as it doesn't detail any of the cuts to the 1980 theatrical listing - it just says it's cut. Anyways, 15 seconds are cut from the eye impalement, then practically all of the footage later on of the same woman being eaten by zombies is cut.

From memory these are the bits that I can remember that were cut...

All the footage of blood gushing out of the neck of the woman who gets bit in the cemetery was cut.

A close up of the bleeding wound on the cheek\neck? of the cop inside the cabin of the boat in the harbor near the beginning was cut. The bit where the other fella goes inside and discovers his body.

During the church stand-off at the end - the shot of the zombie that climbs in through the windows head exploding was cut.

Those are only a handful of the cuts so it's safe to say that every act of zombie action\violence in the film was trimmed to various extents.

it sounds too me that u have the extreme version which isnt the most cut version there is only a few seconds missing the eye splinter scene as u say dosent actualy show the splinter entering. And the scence later on where one of the zombies takes a large chunk of flesh from the womens stomach is missing too hope this helps.

The Vipco 'Extreme' version restores most of the original UK cinema cuts, bar 23 secs from the eye gouging and the woman's body being eaten by the zombies.

Apart from the old pre-cert VHS the only uncut UK release to date is the DVD included in Anchor Bay's first Box Of The Banned.
