Check out the review at Dvdactive.com, Imo the picture is to dark, background details get lost in dark scenes, otherwise it looks great.
shareI don`t think so. If you think it`s too dark, you shouldn`t see the Anchor Bay DVD from 98 which is i think it`s pretty dark. Look at the link to see it compared to the other DVDs and the BD:

Seriously? It seems crisp and vivid to me. I was actually pretty impressed/surprised considering the film's age.

The Arrow Blu looks better than the Blue Underground Blu, it's lighter too.
sharearrow win this one hands down more image and less DNR and also it has a verry natural looking image the only slight downside is it only has a momo sound mix but i would say the intent was to make this a faithful to its original screening type deal was very impressed with this blu ray
