The only reason and i mean ONLY reason I like remakes is because they start releasing the originals on DVD which in my opinion gives us younger viewers the chance to be introduced to the originals.

The original Tourist Trap is available on DVD- but you do make a good point about finally seeing the originals released on DVD.

It has been my dream to remake this movie myself. In fact, I am working on a script for another horror film idea; Keep it in the Family. When it is finished I will try to sell it and if it becomes a movie I will remake Tourist Trap.

So your dream is to be a parasite? If you loved this film so much you would leave it alone. It's been done well in the first place, do something original if you have the talent at all.

Cast young hot stars like Olivia Wilde, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, or Samaire Armstrong and add some blood and gore and make it R and decent.

Actually, you hit on something with the first 2 that gave me an idea...

Just take the 6 leads from CLOVERFIELD and you've got the new TOURIST TRAP cast! (Although in my mind, Molly will always be a blonde, since the lovely Jocelyn Jones gave such a memorable turn.)
