I wish someone could explain everything from the moment Jerry arrives to save Molly...and didn't Mr. Slausen break him into pieces? Then how come Molly drives away in the jeep with her mannequined friends and he's intact?
In my point of view at that moment Molly starts to see "strange things" and the end " Molly drives away in the jeep with her mannequined friends" it`s the result of her state of mind, maybe a terrible dream, maybe she creates mannequins with faces like her friends faces maybe a nervous breakdown or somethinh like that... but it`s just an opinion the director David Schoemeller, who gave us such a unique movie, at the dvd commentary don`t go to deep in explaining what happened at that moment but anyone can made any opinion... it`s a movie, real life is more deeper. lol
Hi. You can see her face in the jeep, is the creepiest face in the whole movie because she is kinda happy and mad at the same time. The ending is a closure to everything in the movie, they were in the jeep in the beginning and the end, however, that final scene showed the change they suffered. Molly killed Connors and then rebuilt the mannequies, put them in the jeep and go away deniying reality.
"Jerry" who comes to rescue Molly isn't actually the guy at all but one of Slausen's twisted creations. The real Jerry is probably dead, his body lying out in the woods somewhere, after sustaining deep lacerations from jumping out of the window at the other house.
After Molly klls Slausen and all the mannequins suddenly become silent, she has a nervous breakdown from all the tramua and horror she's endured. She rounds up all of the dummies who resembled her friends, pieces them back together, and throws them all into the back of the jeep. As she's speeding away down the road, the camera zooms in on Molly's face. Her maniacal expression shows that she has completely lost her mind.
Even though that's where the movie ends, I always imagined that Molly either drove off the side of a cliff and committed suicide, or else was picked up by the authorities and committed to an insane asylum.
maybe she starts a business in tourist vacation in the same house of the tourist trap! maybe she finds the other brother of the Slausen`s she starts to learn the "power of the mind" with that brother... and now we have tourist trap 2 directed by David Schmoeller

as a remark to the jeep working again - it never broke down in the 1st place - I assumed Slausen just used his telekinesis to make it appear the jeep did not start, seeing as how it was running fine UNTIL they arrive at the tourist trap. After Slausen is dead, the jeep would run fine again. and ya, she's just lost it all together at the end.
I saw this movie before Britney Spears "went crazy" and I thought the blonde girl in the movie looked just like Britney Spears (back when 'looking like Britney Spears " was a good thing!) I loved her CrazyFace at the end of the movie. Now that Britneys crazy I feel like watching TOURIST TRAP again!
