Book sequel: Jacyln the Ripper
Just finished reading Karl Alexander's follow-up to Time After Time, and gotta say it was a decent read, despite being a bit gory and sexually explicit. It basically takes place about 15 years after the events of Time After Time, where Amy, yearning to see her parents, hijacks the machine and travels to 2010, inadvertently releasing Jack from infinity, who has materialized as a young woman. It was kinda cool seeing the familiar characters interacting with the current advancements of technology, and it feels less dated, with all due respect to the original. It'd be interesting to see if they wind up filming a sequel with Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen, though I doubt Warner Bros. would be interested considering there isn't much of a cult status to the original. Plus, I can see them doing a terrible casting for Jaclyn, like hiring Megan Fox or someone in that capacity, and I doubt whoever it is would be ideal for following in David Warner's footsteps. But if you're a fan of Time After Time, I recommend you give it a look, it's a really quick and easy read.
