When the Ripper brings flowers to Patti Darbanville's apartment, how did they supposedly meet? Is she a callgirl, and he's answered her ad or something?
Her character is named Shirley, and she's one of the 1979 victims.
Since we otherwise see him picking up victims in public, I was kind of thrown when he suddenly shows up at this lady's home.
I always thought she was a call girl, yeah.

I have read the novel the book was bsed on. She was a clothes shop assistant that the Ripper meets when he buys some new jeans. The ripper is much more sexually forward in the book and ends up watching porn with her on an earlier date. I think by the next date he decides she is "a common woman" and kills her.

Aside from getting killed in her apartment, is Shirley the woman who is seen through a glass shop window talking to the Ripper? There is a scene in which HG Wells and Amy are driving through San Francisco and the camera pans off of their car and upwards to a second floor shop window where we see the Ripper talking to some woman.
