Just noticed the Nod to Bullitt

Saw this movie a few times before but just picked up on this. When Wells is headed to the Hyatt in the cab after learning where Jack the Ripper is we get a quick homage (sound effect and in car camera POV) to the car chase scene from the Peter Yates classic including the passing of a Volkswagon van (it was a VW Beatle in Bullitt).

I noticed that in my last viewing of TAT. Exactly the same thing went through my head: "Hey, isn't that a nod to Bullitt?"

Ah, yes. The green Beetle. McQueen and Hickman seem to pass it more than once . . .
