I am DYING to see this movie again!

I recently stumbled across the "StarCrash" movie trailer on YouTube and laughed so hard that I nearly fell out of my chair. I have only seen the film once, on Saturday afternoon TV when I was about fourteen years old (I'll be 38 this year) and it's haunted my dreams ever since. (How can you ever forget an epic movie like this one, packed with Space Babes, white men with Afros, stop-action robots with boobies, lightsabers, and of course THE HOFF... talk about a winning combination!!)

I immediately Googled the title and found to my delight that the movie is available on DVD... I thought for sure that this film had been relegated to a musty vault somewhere, never to be seen again. I will be placing an order for it as soon as possible!!

Someday I want to meet David Hasselhoff, just so I can tell him "I LOVED StarCrash." He'll probably say "Oh, so YOU'RE the guy. I thought you were just a legend."

I saw this movie at a drive-in theater in Denver, CO. I was 5 years old, and yes I was running around in my pajamas before the movie started.

I was utterly fascinated with the film from start to finish. Ahhh, the untrustworthy memory of a child.

I will purchase this on DVD (gotta check if it's even available) and show it to all of my friends. Who will most certainly hate me forever.

Who cares? It was fun, dumb entertainment.

Evacuate? In our moment of triumph? I think you overestimate their chances.

oh dude - that's awesome, bro --- I met the HOFF once, and I told him that I LOVED "Knight Rider" (which is true) ...

I wish I'd asked him about StarCrash instead!! Awesome movie!!

DVD Drive-In (http://dvddrive-in.com) reports that Star Crash will be released on a double bill DVD with Galaxina on 10/14/08.

It took me a while but I finally have a DVD copy of "StarCrash" coming to me ... the new Shout Factory "Roger Corman Cult Classics" edition comes out in the US on Sept. 14th, so I pre-ordered it from Amazon. I can't wait to see this movie again, it's haunted my dreams for more than 25 years now!!!

Here's a review of that DVD set.

I don't currently own any of Shout Factory's DVDs or Blu-rays (that'll change soon as I ordered the blu-ray of this one), but they seem to do excellent work on these low budget/cult classic type films.
This Starcrash DVD/Blu is absolutely loaded with bonus material, and from the reviews I have read the picture/audio presentation is very good as well....light years beyond the old VHS copy I own.

I only have one other Roger Corman/Shout Factory DVD thus far ("Rock N Roll High School") but it's a class product all the way. The movie looks great and the bonus features are totally geek worthy.
Besides "Star Crash," I also want to get Joe Dante's original "Piranha" and also "Battle Beyond the Stars" (though I don't think that one is out yet, it should be soon...)

Yeah, I am very much looking forward to Battle Beyond The Stars. I have the old non-anamorphic DVD which is a little rough to look at but has a couple great commentary tracks. I'm pretty sure I heard rumblings earlier this year about Shout Factory releasing it on blu-ray and DVD, but so far no word.

I am amazed at the wealth of bonus material and the audio/video presentations they are giving these releases....some of the big boys could learn a thing or two from them!

I haven't seen "Battle Beyond the Stars" in years. I never got hold of it the last time it was released on DVD about ten years ago, so I've been getting by with a VHS copy I taped off of HBO sometime in the late '80s, which is well past due its retirement date.

I sat and watched the movie and every last bit of bonus material (oops...didn't read the original screenplay), and had a blast. I saw this film at the theater back when I was 8, and since then my only experience was a very used VHS copy....this new DVD (or blu-ray in my case) is a revelation both picture and sound wise, plus I learned more than I could have ever hoped for on how the film was made. Yeah it's crap, but darned if it isn't enjoyable!

You can watch the whole film on you tube.

I've had my 15 minutes,now what!

I met Caroline Munro and we had a good laugh about it!

She even wrote IMO the very WORST but most quotable line from the film "These deadly rays shall be YOUR death - Caroline Munro IS Stella Starr" on my Bikini A4 photo. I was thrilled to bits she was happy to do it!

An absolute GEM of a Lady & absolutely stunning!

She's had some life, I can tell ya!

I think her first (dubbed) line is "FULL POWER!" a la Jackie Pearce's B7 Servalan.
(Must get that done some time)

Off to do a triple with Starcrash, Battle beyond the Stars (night, John Boy!), and Captain Kronos: Vampire hunter!

"I don't recall dying - must have happened when I was too drunk to give a flying FU.....
