This is the prototype of cheesy B-movie that Hollywood should be remaking/updating, rather than classics like Total Recall, RoboCop and Point Break. Starcrash actually has a pretty decent story line, it just needs a severe make over with a better script (dialogue) and FX.

Except it was a movie that didn't make any real money and was forgotten. Hollywood only remakes movies that have name recognition they can leech off of.
shareI see what you're saying, but that's what makes this a perfect movie to remake. Just use the script and rename it something else. Buying the rights to it won't cost much and then they can do what they want.

it’s a good visual movie. the 70s space stuff really is fun to see here. would love a remake but the plot might be very thin. though i would love to see who plays stella.
