Starcrash(1979) is a fun, cheesy movie. Thank you, Shout Factory, for putting effort into the DVD! It leaves the old, muddy, 1st generation DVD in the dust!

I was channel surfing and came across this 'gem', and my first thought was wow! space sure is tacky looking...

It is very comforting. Like a lite brite. "The Martian Chronicles" (1980) had a similar space background as well.

For this very reason, I usually watch Starcrash in December, and sometimes on Christmas day too.

It's kind of cool looking, though. It looks like a bunch of dying suns or something. Lol

The guys who made this movie must have been high as a kite.

reminds me always of the galaga coin ops back then.. the backgrounds were equally colorful.

I saw it for the first time last night and that's exactly what I was thinking! It's part of it's cheesy charm.
