Pretty much covered it all, and OMG so FUNNY.
Always thought this movie was a rip off of the "Changeling" episode from TOS anyway. Now I do love my Kirk and TOS, but this movie was all about the long FX views of well... stuff. Thank God the follow ups remembered the importance of oh yeah... the characters.
Deep down, I'm pretty superficial.
Too nitpicky and at points complaining about things actually explained in the movie ("How'd they get the video of the klingons evaporating?", "Our drone has intercepted this in quad L-14")
Easy way to "fix" it would just be to tighten it up. The Sonak, broken Enterprise, transporter malfunction, explaining the new Enterprise like it's a technical manual, wormhole stuff could easily go. Kirk takes over the Enterprise, they launch, Spock meets them enroute and they meet up with VGer.
