THIS HAS TO BE THE DUMBEST MOVIE I HAVE EVER SEEN

I am not even sure where to start but this has to be the dumbest movie I have ever seen in my life. And guess what,I graduated high school in 1982,so I was the target demographic for this movie.I realize that movies are not typically a documentary, that being said, how this movie ever got made is beyond me.I think this movie must have been the fervent dream of a very well respected screenwriter...I remember it well, the demonic, nazi pricipal and her hitler youth henchman...The evil teachers,administrators.....If you enjoyed this movie,I say, grow up...Because there is nothing in this steaming pile that is remotely accurate or believable...As a matter of fact,I seriously doubt that anyone had to wait in line to see a Ramones concert...Just the opposite,I am sure that they were giving them away more often than not....If you want to see a real movie about the early eighties youth, rent Fast Times at Ridgemont High,it is so good that I dont think it would be out of line to call it an documentary...If you lived it,you know what I mean...Its my head,I am so wasted..

This movie was created to have fun and enjoy yourself not take it seriously! I mean when I heard the song Rock N Roll High School I could not get it out of my head. That is how good this song is. LOL

If this were the discussion page of the Rock and Roll High School Fan Website, it might make somebody a troll to come and post a comment like that, but it isn't; fans of a movie don't own this site, it's here for open discussion, and this guy came here to post an opinion - one with a great deal of legitimacy, in my opinion. You posted an insult, and added nothing to the discussion. As for allthe people who keep insinuating that people who disliked this movie just don't know how to relax and have fun - the movie was about as fun and funny as those people that post "get back into the kitchen" on every video on YouTube featuring a woman doing something. I found the movie to be malicious and insulting on top of being stupid. They portrayed the school adminstrator as cartoon Nazis, but it was the students that staged the Reichstag fire.

Wow, I just saw this film for the first time and loved it, an anarchistic comedy, a throwback to the 30s, really refreshing this film was indeed.

I remember seeing this movie when I was a kid and a teenager. I use to see it on USA UP ALL NIGHT back in the day when USA Network was a lot cooler with their programming compared to now. I just watched it for the first time in I do not know how many years to be honest with you.

At one time WGN and other networks including USA Network use to show this late on the weekends at night. I miss that kind of programming or movies like this shown late at night.

I think you might have missed the point or expected a different genre. This was a camp film from the moment it was made. It turned me into a Ramones fan. The music is the star of the film, not the actors or "story" line.

Well you have to also realize that Roger Corman made the film too so you cannot expect it to be something that is going to be a A List movie to be honest with you. I love campy movies like this and watched when I was in high school until it went off the air in 1998 USA UP ALL NIGHT! If you loved campy movies then they showed films like this on the weekends. Man I miss those days on the weekends of being able to watch films like this.

This is a classic film to watch and I watched it the other night for the first time in years. I was only 7 years old at the time when this film came out. I always remembered The Ramones. I thought they were creepy looking when I was a kid and saw them in this movie.
