Well, there is always hope. My hair was already curly and I wanted it straight (of course, whatever we don't have). However, I still had to eat the crusts. Now that I am long away from home- no crusts for me.

cuz when it grows back, you look like some strange reverse mushroom with a flat-on-top head and a poof-ball growing out your neck...

AND: crusts off of EVERYTHING, except french bread, which i scoop the middles out of.

Used to have a sandwich shop called Country Crust in the village... sadly it received an unfortunately spoonerised nickname

They will look for him from the White Tower, but he will not return

I'm a crust girl myself.

I also have wavy hair - annoyingly so. I use a straightener on it every day to get the kinks out.

Now you know my secret - Shhhh... Don't tell anyone!!!

I just don't understand- they are so dry and, well, crusty.

By the way, totally off topic (like this has been on topic), I just saw The Lake House and it was really good. A definite feel-good movie- really sweet and funny and good. Chic flick I guess, but not really your usual type.

Hmm... and so are carrots. And I hate carrots. I like carrot cake, though.

I haven't seen it yet... I've seen a few teasers on TV, but I don't think it's opened here yet. And I so need to see a feel-good movie these days!

It's not Speed- although you certainly must suspend disbelief (but then in what movie do you not?). I actually love the both of them so maybe you shouldn't completely take my word for it. It is the first movie in about a year that I really left feeling good. I love movies and love to go and really always enjoy them, so I don't mean that I have bad feelings from movies. But this one left me feeling good about life still through today (and I am up still working at 2:15am so that had to be a pretty good movie).

And by the way, Happy Fourth- since I'm up I will wish you that.

No no no, sorry if I gave the wrong impression! What I meant was, when I first heard about the movie, I wasn’t too excited about another Keanu/Sandra pairing. I have nothing against her, but I don’t really like him a lot – which of course, doesn’t mean I won’t go watch a movie just because he’s in it. And as someone who also loves movies, I see no reason why I shouldn’t take your word for it: everything you said made me want to see this movie, and I appreciate the recommendation!

And I hope you had fun on the Fourth. It’s not a holiday here, so I actually had a very busy day...

Keanu is funny that way. Some friends and I were talking about him last night and it seems that you either like him or not (3 do 2 didn't). For some reason, which I can't exactly put my finger on, I am a fan. I love watching interviews with him or with Joaquin Phoenix because they both are terribly shy.

The fourth is a holiday here but I didn't have it off. However, it was quiet for one of my days on call. I guess I saw everyone the night before.

Yup, that’s Keanu... I don’t know, he was okay in the Matrix movies, but I can’t help but hate him in most of the films I’ve seen him in. I keep expecting him to yell “whoa!” at the wrong time... I do like Joaquin, though – and agreed about his interviews!
