Weirdest scene in the movie

I'm surprised there isn't a thread on this.... or maybe I shouldn't be, because it's such an odd little detail that I never really noticed it before last night myself. But what does everyone think of the bizarre Frodo dream sequence? Specifically I laughed out loud when the Orc comes down the road in the Shire, and then he smiles at Frodo and waves at him?! It's the only happy Orc I can think of in any Tolkien adaptation. Totally off the reservation. What were they thinking and what exactly was that scene supposed to mean?

Did I not love him, Cooch? MY OWN FLESH I DIDN'T LOVE BETTER!!! But he had to say 'Nooooooooo'

It was a dream, a fantasy that Frodo dreamed of. It was the complete opposite of what happened, an idealization of what the journey was. There was no trouble that he ran into, no one died, he never got caught by orcs after Shelob poisoned him. He simply walked into Mordor and threw the ring into the fire (tossed over the shoulder, something far more jovial than the actual journey). Everything was fine and then it turned into a nightmare.

Don't you want to become one with me? To be of one mind and body?
