score sounds like all the president's men's

anybody else think that?

It hadn't occurred to me, but now that you metion it, yeah, they do sound similar.

The music didn't make any sense in the beginning and the ending (same cue).

Nolte wakes up in the beginning and the music sounds like someone is about to be murdered, and in the end when they are talking (just talking) it's the same music, like one of them is about to be assassinated...but no, they are just talking :)

Who made that decision? It doesn't fit at all, and it took me out of the movie.

I wasn't a fan anyway, can't believe it get's a 6.9 on here, I was fast-forwarding since I had seen films like this a million times and was pretty bored.

I think the music works. Think about the conspiracy going on behind Phil Elliot's back, something between the coaches and owners that would eventually drive him off the team. It fits the paranoid soundtrack and All The President's Men vibe very well in my opinion.

Although I have to say that I don't think the soundtrack is all that similar to All The President's Men in detail. Soundtracks that are very similar, almost identical in some parts, are All The President's Men, The Parallax View, and The Marathon Man.
