Well thanks for clearing that up. I was always curious about that, me and my cousin have been quoting a line mac davis said at the end of the film for years..."hey poot, you got any them ol' pain killers" I don't know why, it's just the way he said it. Now that I think about it, davis and nolte were ribbing each other throughout the film, so maybe "poot" is like calling him "old fart" in a joking way. Davis was such a natural in that film especially considering his limited exposure to acting, I'm surprised he didn't go on to become a working actor. He had great chemistry with Nick and the supporting performaces were great also. I really love this film. Entertaining and has a message without beating you over the head or being preachy. they don't make 'em like this anymore, I'm sorry to say
