Absolutely magical movie

My Brilliant Career was a totally delightful movie.
The serious parts of the movie certainly made me reflect, and the humorous parts had me giggling and cackling. My 3 children (girl 27, boy 24 and girl 20) watched it with me a few weeks ago, and they loved it. They laughed at the right moments, and found the chemistry between Judy David and Sam Neill absolutely magical just like me; I was soooo damn happy LOL.
I first watched this soooo long ago, and it still warms my heart.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything you said about this Movie ilovenature5, I LOVE it, it's my all time Fav!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Roll on with the DVD!!!!!! I have had the Video for years now! :) :)

Agreed. Love this movie, the book is great too. You should read the book if you like the movie.

Thanks. Enjoyed the movie.
I've been getting into Patrick White which led me to check out My Brilliant Career. Judy Davis was great, as always.

I thought this movie was sublime. (Which is the first and last time I think I'll use that word to describe a movie.) For once, it was a movie that was everything I'd heard it was - and more! It did not dissapoint one bit.

Oh yes I agree with ethereall. Brilliant movie! And yes Sam Neill is gorgeous in it.

I didn't like it. i was really disappointed she didn't marry sam Neill.
