I like how several inanimate objects had their own theme music.

Like the meteor itself. [Funky guitar music.] The Russian rockets had a song (so did the American rockets). For some reason that kind of caught my ear.

You know something [plot hole] that bothered me? They sent Challenger II to go observe the comet pass through the asteroid belt. Ok, they seemed certain that the comet was going to hit Orpheus, and yet they had them get so close? I mean, hello! Debris people?! Oh well.

I always liked this thing (in spite of the beating it's taken over the years). People say they overacted, well if a meteorite was heading towards Earth [a potential planet killer].....it's not exactly time to relax.

I agree! Cheesy as it was, I always liked this one. It ran on the Syfy Channel today, and I watched it for the umpteenth time. And yes, the themes for the meteor and the rockets were a hoot.

Brian Keith as a Russian, Sean Connery as an American...hey, at least it was more believable than all those Biblical movies of the '50s and '60s in which all those Hebrews and Egyptians had British accents.

lol

I am watching it now on syfy and came here to comment on just that. I also love the Atari-level graphics.

How could a movie with such a great cast be so bad?

Move along. Nothing to see here.
