Mariel Hemingway's performance

I am trying to think of a better one. Her sensitivity and vulnerability shone out so brightly and yet at the same time proving her character to be the one who actually has it together - a truly incredible and touching performance, and from one so young.

Agreed, it is a fantastic performance. It's too bad she didn't do much of interest afterwards.

Agreed, this is easily one of Mariel's very best roles.
She's very natural and believablehere. A good director does bring out an actor's best.

I loved her performance. She was the emotional soul of the film for me. She was incredible in STAR 80, too.

It was a superbly touching performance. Mariel nailed that character. I'm surprised she hasn't appeared in more big name movies since then.
