Philadelphia?

Why did Keaton's character keep mentioning that she was from Philadelphia, in a seemingly condescending manner? Do Philadelphians consider themselves morally superior to New Yorkers? Is Philadelphia considered a more traditional and old-fashioned place compared to the more progressive NYC? (I think this has something to do with it). I feel like there's a joke I'm not getting.

You're thinking about it too much.

The joke is that it doesn't mean anything in particular, but she says it as though it explains everything about her.
