Will comedies like this ever be made again?

Recently re-watched this film and couldn't believe how mature the humor in it is. Would an audience today be able to laugh at intelligent humor like this, or are we doomed to nothing but fart jokes passed off as comedy?

Allen only doomed the audience, to an unappealing and self-absorbed 40 something year old man, having an affair with a high school student and passed this off as a pseudo-intellectual comedy. I suppose, it wasn't that mature after all.

Nope. I don't think so. :( even Allens own newer films aren't the same

If they are made, they'll be hard to find. Mature comedies just aren't mainstream. I'd kick a lot of people to get them to make something as witty, mature, and terrific as Manhattan or Broadcast News again.
