Staring at Africans


That lot were meant to be cultured; sexually and in every other way liberated sort of people. Yet they stare for five minutes at a group of people in their native attire. I don't get that scene.

They do not stare for five minutes.

The scene you're referring to lasts 17 seconds, 3 seconds of which they casually observe some African gentlemen in native dress.

They were dressed in native clothes, so it's only natural they got a strange/curious look from regular people in a western country. I'm Indian (as in India Indian not native American) and although I rarely dress traditional, my mom does and even the French, who mind their own business better than most people, would glance at my mom's outfits for far too long!
