DIANE LANE was fantastic in this film. Everyone knows she won an Oscar for "UNFAITHFUL" in 2003 but this is still her best performance I think.

me too. TCM last night. I watched it for the first time last night. and before this I maybe, maybe just heard of the title of this film. never saw any images from it and never heard anything about it and never even knew who was in it until I watched it last night. what an amazing accomplishment of a film.
shareOP says that everyone knows Diane Lane won an Oscar for Unfaithful. Someone should tell the people at the Motion Picture Academy because they gave the award to Nicole Kidman for The Hours that year. Lane did get a well-deserved nomination that year though.
shareexactly, I really have a hard time believing she has ever given or will ever give a performance this good. it's amazing how good of a performance that it is given how young she is in it. it's such a natural performance and so finely detailed.
