I loved this movie as a child. Now a new version is coming in 2005. ( quick question) Does anybody remember the lion getting his mane cut and if so for what reason?

I loved this movie as a child too and still like it. I ordered it from America on Amazon and later I got a copy recorded from swedish television with swedish voices.
Back to your question: I think they cut of the mane of Aslan just to humiliate him.
