Love this but a few questions!!

Hello!!
I first saw this on public television YEARS ago when I was a kid. It made me check my closets thinking I'd find stuff! LOL

Anyway, this is the only version I've seen, apart from a play version I saw a college put on when I was about 10, but I plan to get the movie soon. I want to read the book too but I need help.

Since I'm in the U.S. I heard there are 2 different versions of the book. Should I read the US printing or an international one or is there no real difference aside from a few word changes (like with Harry Potter books)? Also, should I read the whole series in order to get this book or can it be read by itself? I think there are 7 books right?

Thanks in advance!!

P.S: Anyone who has Adelphia cable can watch this version of the movie on the "Kids and Teens channel". I'm watching it now!

Actually, each book can be read independently. This was actually the first book published. As far as I know, there are no major differences between US and other versions of the books. If you do end up getting all 7 books, I recommend reading them in their originally published order.

OMG!

Thank you so much for the reply!! ::HUG:: I'd have read it sooner, but College kills what little time I have! I think I'll get this book first. I read it years ago but things escape me at the moment. Thanks again!

dont know for a International Printing but ya GET THE BOXED SET!
took me over a year to find it in 7th grade when this movie came out!
I've still got them!

I'd assume that amazon and half.com would have them in excellent condition used if your looking to cut corners
if you want new
any of the book stores will have them.....Barnes and Noble, Borders, B. Daultons, Walden Books......Now a days they are very easy to find!
