CASTING
why are there 2 names for the voices of most of the cast on this site? was the movie refurbished with different voices, or did different personalities of the characters just require 2 different voices?

shareConfirmed. The British cast are by far and away the better lot.
The only major voice that wasn't overdubbed was Aslan (I don't think anyone else could have done justice to the role!), hence you see two names for most of the cast, apart from him - and also this site doesn't list the English voices for the children - has anybody got an old VHS of the English one with full cast list?

I recognized her voice as the obnoxious marketing girl at the end of the Hitchhiker's Guide TV series (she performed both roles with the same non-British accent).Too bad we didn't get Leo McKern as the Professor. Why did they bother to overdub the original voices though? Were the accents considered too strong for the American audience?
