I have an old copy of this movie from a sweden tv show.
Is it just me or is the music in this movie very good.
What i think of most is three things. First the music when the witch and and the wolfes chases the beevers and three of the kids, second the background music in the big war and last the music when the (now) grown up kids chases the white animal at the end.
The witch scared me a lot when i was a little boy =)
The music makes me wanna cry.

Yeah the music is amazing. I've listened to it a couple of times this weekend and now all the melodies are stuck in my head. I agree that the music while they chase the white stag is brilliant, but I also like the jolly music when Lucy walks with Mr Tumnus. The triumphant music is in my head at the moment! :S

Also the whole scene of the wolf/white witch chase is so well done, I'm sat ont the edge of my seat everytime! And the music adds to the mood perfectly. Defo getting hold of that soundtrack!
shareTHe music is remarkable for a little TV animated film. I love the music when Aslan comes back to life and frolics with Susan and Lucy. I know it is pretty much the same music as the white stag scene but still. Something about it is so powerful.
shareI have a taped copy from the mid 80s and the resolution is so bad I can't read the credits. Anyone know if the music score is original or if it was ever made available on a disc? I love the White Stag music and still hum it when I walk 20 years after falling in love with this version.

I have an original copy of this and it sounds fantastic! i got this from www.screenarchives.com and they had very few of them a few years back. They unfortunately have no more in stock. Yeah, the music in this movie is amazing, it's one of the best soundtracks to an animated movie I've ever heard. I didn't know the soundtrack was on CD, I'll have to find it, I love soundtracks! My favorite music from the movie is the main theme and Mr. Tumnus's lullaby, they're both so haunting and beautiful. The recent Narnia movies have got nothing on this wonderful little movie!

I think the musical score for this film, by Michael J. Lewis is the best ever written (along with Basil Poledouris' musical score for the Conan-films), and it most deservedly won an Emmy in 1979 - An important fact they obviously missed on this page when listing the awards..guess I'll have to update them.
Too bad that there's hardly any great composers of majestic romantic scores left these days..
