I would love to find and own a copy of "David Hamilton's Laura" soundtrack. I found one by "Parick Juvet" on Amazon.com for $99.00 and I thought no way. Do you or anybody else here know where I can find the soundtrack reasonably priced or at least somewhere online where I can download it preferrably for free?? I hope to hear from somebody here, thank you.

I have this soundtrack on cd, and it is amazing. Each track has it's own style, and all are very atmospheric. The first track, the piano opening music, is sad and beautiful, and the second track starts out the same way, before turning into electric guitar rock, with a pulsating rythym (the photo taking scene) than the second love song comes, and than a vocal track. Even the jazz number played at the party is on the soundtrack, as well as the sexy disco influenced track "Fire." The songs blend well with eachother, and have one thing in common, all are very sensual. The cd is a bootleg, and probably transferred from an old LP. One of the best i have heard, up there with Francis Lai's score for "Emmanuelle 2." Same style, and "Laura" is even more rare than "Emmanuelle 2" which only exists on an expensive Japan import cd.

I'll have to be on the lookout for the CD, or at least play the film again to hear this wonderful music.
It really is a superb soundtrack — much better than the film itself, I must say. It runs the gamut from jazz to psychedelia to disco to what would later be termed New Age.
Patrick Juvet unfortunately didn't get the career her deserved when he came on the scene in the late '70s. I have an LP by him that's excellent.
