CUT DVD?

All the dvds I see are 86 minutes. The TRT is stated here as 95. Can anyone tell me what's cut?

Must be a mistake. All released versions are 86mins (the only difference is the language).

Perhaps there was once a version running 95mins but it doesn't appear to have been released on DVD or VHS.

This film would look stunning on Blu Ray. Bilitis already has a release, I hope Laura isn't too far off.

I own the German dvd, (with French audio) and and English language dvd, as well as an old North American VHS tape of "Laura." The VHS runs 95 minutes, while the dvd's are shorter. Yes, there are a couple short scenes removed from the dvd, but nothing to do with sexual content. For instance a random scene that segues from the ballet school to Laura walking on a bridge is longer in the VHS. But by owning the dvd you are not missing anything important.

I just hope the soundtrack gets a rerelease. I've been desperately trying to track this down for over a decade.

There are slight differences between the German and UK DVDs too. I posted this 9 years ago (god, I can't believe it's been so long):

"There's another difference between the French (I'm assuming, I've got the German DVD) and dub versions, the ending is edited differently. The dub version ends with Paul splashing in the water after Laura has seen the stature. In the the French version the Paul splashing scene occurs before Laura has seen the statue, and the film ends with Sarah hugging a sad looking Laura (this part is completely absent from the dub version). It's not much, but it alters the tone of the ending slightly."

I have never noticed that before. i have both the English dubbed version of "Laura" and the German dvd. I have to look at them both again. Since I downloaded the French language version with English subtitles that is the one i watch, because the French language is so much better than that dub. It is such a great film, the first art house movie I saw as a child, and it shaped my taste in film ever since.

This info is interesting. I just watched an Australian DVD (audio was in French), and it ran 86:05 with credits and music at the end. I hate thinking I missed something. This is the specific DVD I just watched:
