Funny Subtitles
Watching this great flick again today, and noticed something hilarious in the subtitles.
In the beginning, when Navin starts with, "I was born a poor black child," and his family is singing on the porch "Pick a Bale of Cotton" - one of the oldest and most traditional American songs, the subtitles read:
[SINGING IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE]
... and nothing more. The words are clear and understandable, and I'm still laughing.
I guess they forgot they'd just typed "I grew up in Mississippi"?
