From the first time I saw this movie, I always thought what a great idea Pizza in a cup would be.

i know it's supposed to be a joke, but the first time i saw this movie i remember i believed that there really was such a thing as pizza in a cup and i was very disappointed to find out otherwise, i've always loved to eat pizza and now as an adult i know the idea is preposterous, but i still love the idea of pizza in a cup.

It would be interesting to catalog all of the products that were originally intended as a joke and are now real products (as opposed to sci-fi products that finally became reality such as wireless phones). The ones that immediately come to mind are Cup-O-Pizza, the three-blade (and now there's a FOUR blade!) razor, which was originally a Saturday Night Live joke (because--you'll believe anything!), and SoftSoap--from an old episode of the Flintstones!!

Not so preposterous anymore! Now, because of the low-carb craze, Pit Stop Pasta in Escondido, CA offers "pizza in a bucket".

I saw "The Jerk" in the theatre when it first came out...looong time ago....and to this day, whenever my family tries a new restaurant and enjoys it, one of us will invariably remark "this is much better than the old cup o' pizza place - it'll probably put that other pizza in a cup place out of business."

I'd buy Pizza-in-a-Cup. The crust is always soggy, so a cup full of tomato sauce and melted cheese sounds damn good to me...

If you're always getting pizza with a soggy crust, you're probably going to the wrong pizzeria. Next time you're in Dover NH, try La Festa Brick & Brew. Excellent hand-tossed crust--every bit as good as what I used to get back home in NYC.

There once was a novelty food item called "Sandwich in a Can!" It was basically deli meat, cheese and bread in a can that if I remember looked like a Pringles Potato Chips container! Navin would have loved that, just like Pizza in a Cup!"

Years later I still laugh at that scene, Bernadette Peters and Steve Martin eating pizza in a cup. And M. Emmett Walsh going nuts and repeatedly trying to shoot Navin, who thinks he's aiming for the cans. Damn this movie is stupid and funny.

I always get hungry and crave pizza watching the scene where Navin and Marie are eating the Pizza-in-a-Cup. What a great idea.

I'm thinking about opening a restaurant around my home the serves Cincinnati style chili (which has Greek roots) and I was seriously considering doing a "Cheese-Coney-in-a-Cup" (for those wondering a cheese coney is a hot dog with chili and cheese on it).

A laugh can be a very powerful thing. Why, sometimes in life, it's the only weapon we have.

I just googled "pizza in a cup". There were a lot of recipes, but none of them jumped out at me. When I want to cook something for the first time I browse different recipes to figure out what looks best and easiest to make.
