Wow, $40 bucks on Amazon is a lot for a 40 year old movie, even if it was a masterpiece. It is listed as $28 on the Criterion website.

Why do they only include excerpts of the interview with Joan Micklin Silver? I'd love to hear more about this movie. There is part of an interview on YouTube, but it hard to figure out who is who, although Peter Riegert is easily identifiable.

One thing I learned is that when Charles and Laura are arguing in the restaurant the women playing the waitress was Ann Beatty, the author of the book.
