unintentionally funny

George C. Scott's totally over the top acting ("turn it off!") cracks me up every time!

Heard about this movie on Opie And Anthony yesterday so I fired it up on Netflix. What father would watch that long? Dude watched everything. Probably including the moneyshot.

why would he even go in in the first place, he couldnt figure out what Boyle was about to show him?

For me, the most hilarious parts were the scenes where Big Dick Blaque shows up for the film and the next scene where poor Jism Jim gets the holy hell beat out of him by an enraged George C. Scott. He really didn't deserve the total ass kicking he received, did he?

Another funny bit was when a kid at the audition tells George C. Scott "Don't you want to see my stuff, man? You know...my,uh...*grabs crotch* STUFF."

I got some humor just out of the age of the film. For example, Scott's character dressing as a porn producer with a wig and big fake mustashe: Just the stereotypical image of a 70's porno producer.

Also it was interesting to see all the Star Wars stuff all over the place. The daugher has a Star Wars calander on the wall, the movie on a couple billboards in the long shots and best of all, the strippers doing a light saber fight on the stage in the middle of the bar!

Oh yeah. I forgot about the naked women light saber fight. That was a sincerely WTF moment.

Who calls up their buddy and goes, "Dude, let's go see some chicks without clothes fighting with Star Wars light sabers"? How big is that clientele?

No two persons ever watch the same movie.

I thought it was pretty good.

I’m watching this movie now and yeah, I agree it’s unintentionally funny.

reply

What parts made you laugh?

I found nothing in it unintentionally funny. There were moments that were meant to be wryly humorous, but at no point did I find myself laughing at the film, and neither did anyone in the nearly-full theater where I saw it.

reply

Dude, totally appropriate for what he was seeing!
