shareI cried once. A lot. I only remember one scene that made me cry though. Near the end.
shareI flew F-4s in the Air Force. My wife and I just watched this movie for the first time in many years. She lost it when they showed the "Missing Man" formation flyover at the funeral. We went to too many funerals with flyovers in my 15 years in the Air Force - nineteen close friends and countless others of acquaintances. And this wasn't even during wartime.
shareAha! A fellow former Air Force F-4 jock! I thought I was the only one on this board. (I was a WSO in the late '70s and early '80s, but defected to the Army after my flying days were cut short.) Welcome aboard!
Do you know if the Jarheads normally fly a five-ship Missing Man? That was weird.
Not me.
