Just saw He Got Game

There is a scene in it where Denzel washington is pushing his son hard on the court that was EXACTLY like the scene in the driveway in this movie.Anyone else notice a similarity and do you think Spike did it on purpose?

...and I am just going to have to feel this way until I DON'T feel this way ANYMORE!

I can see a lot of movies that must have got influence from this movie, consciously or unconsciously. That's definitely a similar scene.

The basketball sequence in "Hoosiers," in which Dennis Hopper's character shows up drunk at the game, reminded me of "Santini." Both films had excellently choreographed basketball games.
