I just watched part of it on TNT or something. First time seeing it (my childhood favorite film) in years.
I SAW ELISABETH SHUE sitting with terry garr (alec's mother) in the last race scene. She had curly red hair and lots of freckles. She was REALLY young then. Did anyone else notice?
According to IMDB's cast info, the actress should be Kristen Vigard, who indeed resembles Shue very much. I guess her role, Becky, probably was supposed to be Alec's childhood sweetheart in the book. She read a poem for him in that welcome home party.
BTW: Anyone noticed that garbageman? Another weird resemblance case. I really thought he was Matthew McConaughey for quite a while. ;-)
