Blu-ray, for cryin' out loud!

There isn't another film out there that matches this one in the visual department. It simply begs for a deluxe blu-ray, high-def treatment.

Anyone listening? This one is what cinema was made for, point blank.

Someone make it happen.

I just called MGM at 1-888-223-2369 (listed under the "DVD Customers" tab on the Corporate page of their site) to request just that. There's strength in numbers!

This definately needs a blu-ray release. I just saw it on DVD and then I saw the sequel on HDNet movies and the difference is startling. The DVD transfer sucks. Get us a Blu-ray MGM!

Well, the picture quality for the recently released BR is, reportedly, pretty terrible. I just received it in the mail today and plan on watching it soon, so we'll see. Too bad if it is since the cinematography in this film is some of the best I have ever seen.
