shareI used to live just down the road from St Peters church at Woolton, where Eleanor Rigby is buried, and where Paul and John met in the summer of 1957. Apparently neither of them have a recollection of seeing that grave, and it was a coincidence (or something tucked away in Paul's subconsious) which led the song to have that title.
I think the scenes at the start of Birth of the Beatles, where they are in a graveyard and horsing around were filmed at the Anglican Cathedral, just across from John's flat in Gambier Terrace which he shared with Stu.
