Lennon comes across as Obnoxious

That was John Lennon. He was well known for being sarcastic and witty. He could be obnoxious, but he was liked accepted for it. The tragedies he'd had happen to him, obviously hardened him.

They pretty much did exaggerate with John, as do most biopics that show him as a crassy jagoff, when he was actually a soft smart man with a chip on his shoulder.

The portrayal of Lennon in this is the best I've seen. Stephen MacKenna nailed it.

Lennon by all accounts could be horrible and bitter.

Its that man again!!

Most objective opinions suggest he was a really nasty piece of work,much of the time. Just look at the way he treated wife Cynthia and his son, Julian, who has a lot to say about his relationship, (such as it was), with his "father", who abandoned him as a child and went to the US ,never to return or even visit.
