You'd never make a Casting Director!!!!!

No idea what made you think of some of those people.

reply

Well i tried to get all the bond actors in one film, didnt manage it in this one, but i did with When Time Ran Out!

Why Who do you think is bad?

reply

OK, briefly.

I could see Larry Hagman as Tex. It wouldn't take too much effort. The part was laughable really and Hagman is no incredible talent so that one is OK.

Lorraine Gary???? Why her? Was it just because she has a resemblance to Shirley Jones? Not the greatest prerequesite. I mean, she practically hasn't done anything for 30 years!

Dustin Hoffman. It would make him and the movie look bad if they put him in Karl Malden's role. It was such a useless, nothing part. Hoffman is way too good for it. He would be wasted. They would have to completely rewrite the part for him.

Roger Moore. If it were a few years ago I could see him in the Telly Savalas part. He is so charming and convincing he could play the good guy/bad guy part very well. But he is 80 years old this year! I think he is a bit past running around inside the Poseidon!

Maud Adams. Her claim to fame was as a James Bond girl about 25years ago. Maybe it is me, but I haven't seen her since. I see on IMDb she has done plenty of movies, but none that I know of. If you wanted to be like Irwin Allen and go 'All Star Cast' I question how appealing the name Maud Adams would be to those considering paying to see the movie.

Tom Jones is a Welsh singer that has had decent size roles in two movies. What more needs to be said but I can't think why you chose him???

The only good thing I can say about Catherine Zeta Jones in that part is that she would be killed off quickly.

The character Sally Field played was as an annoying, tom-boyish, 'what the hell?' sort. I just don't see Kate Winslett doing that (I might be wrong). I think Sandra Bullock would be perfect!

I know age doesn't always have to restrict a person from playing a role in Hollywood, but do you really think boyish Ewan Macgregor (37) could play the overbearing father that we had 'man-next-door' Peter Boyle (oh my God! He was only 43 but looked so much older!) play? I don't see it.

I am embarrassed to say that I, an Aussie, have never seen Hugh Jackman in anything so can't comment on you choosing him.

Your comments...

LOL i see your point now...

I put Lorraine Gary in the film because i think she would be great, and i can see her as a nurse. She hasn't done anything Since Jaws: The Revenge because she is married to a Universal executiva and has retired.

Roger Moore! I know he is 80 but come on! he is a legend! He was hanging off the Golden Gate Bridge in his 50's!

I see your point about Maud Adams but i think she is great!

Tom Jones i think would be great, have you seen Mars Attack? He was great

I put CTJ in it because she looks like Veronica Hamel.

You're totally right about Euan McGreggor Though...

All I say is if those people were in the movie it would be very difficult to take seriously...even before walking into the cinema!

How can you say that! - Larry Hagman is the only actor in the history of TV to bet bigger than the show he was in! Larry Hagman's talent ran Dallas for 14 years, one of the longest running series of all time AND his talent also gave the world, the greatest cliffhanger the universe has ever seen!

Welcome To Prime Time B***H! - Freddy Kruger

reply

Come on! As far as the cliffhanger is concerned, that was due to the scriptwriters, not the acting talents of Hagman. All he did was get shot!

I am not saying he was a bad actor. All I said is that he had no incredible talent. OK, he did well in a soap, but what has he done since? Nothing.

So, as an OK actor he would be right in the Tex part. He can pull off the accent and that's all that is needed for that role.

Instead of Sir Roger, put in John Lithgow. He's one hell of a villain!
